The anime Bakumatsu shows his first promotional video

From the official Twitter account of Bakumatsu, the animated television adaptation of the game for smartphones Renai Bakumatsu Kareshi of FuRyu, they have posted a first promotional video of the series. The anime will be released this year via TBS and BS-TBS and although the application is more oriented towards romance, the anime will have a history of science fiction and adventures.

Masaki Watanabe (KADO, Bartender) will direct the anime under Studio DEEN. Masahiro Yokotani (All Out !!, Free !!) will be in charge of the scripts, being the character designs of Hidekazu Shimamura (Nodame Cantabile, Clockwork Planet), who will adapt the original designs of Natsuki. MAGES composes the music.

The original game features a girl who is touring Kyoto when a man hands her a mysterious pocket watch. When the girl carries the clock over and crosses the torii of a temple, she is transported to an alternative version of the Bakumatsu era, 150 years ago, at the end of the Edo era. Now the girl must find a way to return to her present.

Renai Bakumatsu Kareshi was released for iOS and Android on March 14, 2017 in Japan.
